Georgia Tech Track Travels To Lexington For Rod McCravy Invite

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech track and field team travels to Lexington, Ky. to compete in the Rod McCravy Invite Friday and Saturday at Nutter Fieldhouse. It marks the fourth-straight year the Jacket’s will compete at the meet.

The focus on Friday is the multi-events with three Yellow Jackets – Alex Braxton, Donjhae Jones and Monique Pate – scheduled to compete in the women’s Pentathlon.

The first event of the women’s Pentathlon is the 60-meter hurdles at 10:10 a.m. and the multi-event ends with the long jump at 2:05 p.m. In addition to the multi-events, Tech will compete in the long jump, high jump and 5,000 meters.

Tech kicks off Saturday with the women’s 3,000 meters. The final event of the meet for Tech is the women’s 4×400-meter relay at 4:53 p.m.

Last time out, Broderick Snoddy set a new school record in the 60-meter dash (6.75) at the Auburn Invite. Snoddy, Perron Jones and Michael Simms will compete in that same event this weekend.
