Thaddeus Young and the Pacers defeated the Pistons, 108-89 on Wednesday night. Young led the way, scoring 21 points and adding eight rebounds. The Pacers sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference where they will likely face the Boston Celtics in round one of the NBA Playoffs. For the season, Young has averaged 12.4 points per game.
Iman Shumpert has helped the Rockets win eight of their last 10 games where they currently sit in third in the Western Conference. Shumpert has shot 34.8% from beyond the arc, averaging 7.5 points per game. With his contributions, the Rockets have clinched a playoff spot and will most likely have a top three seed.
Favors and the Jazz are currently riding a six-game win streak and have won 16 of their last 17 games. The Jazz have clinched a playoff spot and are in the fifth spot in the Western Conference with a record of 48-30. Favors has averaged a steady 11.7 points per game to go along with 7.4 rebounds per contest.
Josh Okogie and the Minnesota Timberwolves sit at the 10th seed in the Western Conference with four games remaining in the regular season. Okogie has been a solid player for the Timberwolves, averaging 7.9 points per contest. He also ranks third among rookies in steals with 79.
CBSSports.com reported before Christmas that Marcus Georges-Hunt underwent knee surgery and would miss extended playing time for the Maine Red Claws in the G League, though there has been very little reported about it. Georges-Hunt had averaged 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals over 36 minutes per game in nine games for the Red Claws.
Jarrett Jack and the Sioux Falls Skyforce finished the regular season with a 24-26 record and in 8th in the Western Conference in the G-League. The Skyforce missed the playoffs and lost their final game to the Rio Grande Valley, 105-99.
