THE FLATS – The new era of Georgia Tech men’s basketball under first-year head coach Scott Cross will officially tip-off on Nov. 3 inside McCamish Pavilion as the 2026-27 men’s basketball non-conference schedule has been released. The Yellow Jackets will host 10 non-conference opponents at home in addition to three neutral site match-ups and one true road test.
Georgia Tech will get its final preseason tune-up in an exhibition game at Providence on Oct. 24 before an eight-game homestand officially gets the season started on Nov. 3. Visiting McCamish Pavilion during the season-opening stretch will be Hampton (Nov. 3), Georgia Southern (Nov. 6), Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 10), UNC Asheville (Nov. 14) and Norfolk State (Nov. 17).
“Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate” returns to Atlanta on Friday, Nov. 20 when Georgia makes the short trip to McCamish Pavilion in the midst of the homestand. Following Georgia, Samford and Alcorn State close out the month of November with tilts on Nov. 24 and Nov. 28, respectively.
Georgia Tech will play four of its six games in the month of December away from McCamish Pavilion. As previously announced, Tech will travel to Mississippi State on Dec. 2 for the annual SEC/ACC Challenge for its only true road game of the non-conference slate. The Jackets will then meet Murray State in Nashville on Dec. 6 for its first of three neutral site games before The Citadel breaks up the road swing with a home game on Dec. 9 in McCamish Pavilion.
The Yellow Jackets will play their second neutral site game on Dec. 12 against Florida in the Hall of Fame Series Orlando before taking part in the Indy Classic on Dec. 19 against Butler. The non-conference slate concludes with a home contest on Dec. 22 against Longwood.
Georgia Tech’s full schedule, including Atlantic Coast Conference matchups, television information and tip times will be announced at a later date.
Cross, who was announced as the program’s 16th head coach in March, welcomes 13 new faces to the 2026-27 roster with a pair of returning letterwinners in Kam Craft (Chicago, Ill.) and Cole Kirouac (Cumming, Ga.). Comprising Tech’s newcomers are six true freshmen and seven transfers.
