Georgia Tech Preps to Host Auburn Exhibition

THE FLATS No. 20 Georgia Tech volleyball will host Auburn (RV) in an exhibition match on Saturday at 4 p.m. in O’Keefe Gymnasium for a final tune up before the regular season.

Admission to the scrimmage is free, and doors open at 3 p.m. Parking will be available starting two hours prior to match time in the McCamish Lot, along Eighth St. and on Fowler St. between Eighth and 10th.

The match will feature an O’Keefe starter pack giveaway, featuring a drawstring bag, a water bottle, a wristband, a sticker and a set of ear plugs in each pack.

The Yellow Jackets were recently ranked No. 20 by the AVCA, now landing on 55 straight top 25 polls dating back to 2020. Tech boasts 13 returners from the 2022 campaign, highlighted by preseason all-ACC selections in outside hitter Bianca Bertolino and setter Bella D’Amico. The incumbents are joined by seven highly touted new Yellow Jackets, including three transfers and four freshmen, three of which are international.

Georgia Tech will open the regular season with three straight road trips, beginning with the Road 2 Tampa Bay Invitational as the White and Gold square off against host South Florida (Aug. 25) and No. No. 8 Penn State (Aug. 26). The Jackets will later make their official home debut hosting the Georgia Tech Classic. They’ll begin home competition with Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate against Georgia in McCamish Pavilion, presented by Delta (Sept. 15), then take on Howard (Sept. 16) and San Diego (Sept. 17) in O’Keefe Gymnasium.
