Georgia Tech Men Traveling up I-85 for Tiger Invitational

Feb. 7, 2007

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s track and field team will compete at the Tiger Invitational in Clemson, S.C., the site of the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championships, this Fri. and Sat., February 9-10.

“We are looking forward to, once again, compete at Clemson over the weekend,” said men’s head coach Grover Hinsdale. “This is our last competition prior to the ACC Championships. We made some good progress in certain areas last weekend at Notre Dame and we’re looking for similar improvements this weekend.”

The men’s team is led by NCAA provisional qualifier Jerome Miller. The junior from Stafford, Va., set his personal- and the school-best mark of 7 feet. 2 ½ inches in the men’s high jump at the Clemson Opener in Dec.

The Jackets are making their third trip up I-85 to perform at the Clemson indoor track facility. The meet is scheduled to begin with the men’s Distance Medley Relay at 5:00 p.m. on Fri., and end with the men’s 3,000-meter run at 3:50 p.m. on Sat.

Complete results of the Tiger Invitational will be posted at the end of the day’s events on the official Georgia Tech website (www.ramblinwreck.com).
