NEW AT BOBBY DODD STADIUM IN 2018

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech athletics and rideshare provider Lyft have entered into a partnership that will provide Lyft riders with designated drop-off and pick-up locations near Bobby Dodd Stadium on Georgia Tech football gamedays. The partnership was facilitated by IMG, the exclusive multimedia rights holder of Georgia Tech athletics.

For all Georgia Tech football home games in 2018, Lyft riders will be dropped off and picked up at the corner of Techwood Drive and Fourth Street, just one block from Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Lyft drop-off/pick-up location is also convenient to The Tailgate at Wreckfest, GT’s new tailgate party for fans that want all the fun of tailgating without the fuss.

“We’re proud to partner with Lyft to provide Georgia Tech fans with another great way to enjoy football gamedays at Bobby Dodd Stadium,” said Ayo Taylor-Dixon, Georgia Tech senior associate athletics director for external affairs. “The partnership with Lyft and the introduction of The Tailgate at Wreckfest are just two of our initiatives to enhance the gameday experience for our fans this season. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements to come.”

To celebrate the partnership, Lyft is offering new riders a free ride. To claim the free ride, visit lyft.com/invite/gt2018 and enter the promo code GT2018.

“We know Georgia Tech football fans are most concerned with cheering on the Yellow Jackets and having a great time,” said Sam Bond, general manager of Lyft Southeast. “We’re excited about this new partnership, which will allow Tech fans to get to and from Bobby Dodd in a safe, convenient and reliable way.”

The partnership with Lyft officially begins on Saturday when the Yellow Jackets open the 2018 season versus Alcorn State. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

2018 Georgia Tech football season tickets, ACC Flex Packs, Stinger Mobile Passes and single-game tickets are all still on sale. Season tickets (starting at just $219 for all six games on Tech’s home schedule) and ACC Flex Packs (starting at just $130 for three ACC contests) are the best way to secure the best seats in Bobby Dodd Stadium while the Stinger Mobile Pass guarantees a seat for all six games for only $149. Single-game tickets start at $15 for non-conference games versus Alcorn State and Bowling Green (Sept. 29) and $35 the ACC slate, which includes showdowns versus Clemson (Sept. 22), Duke (Homecoming – Oct. 13), Miami (Whiteout – Nov. 10) and Virginia (Nov. 17).
