The 19th-ranked Wake Forest women’s tennis team defeated No. 36 Georgia Tech, 6-1, at Bill Moore Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Mysti Morris and senior Bobbi Guthrie defeated Bea Bielik and Maren Haus at No. 1 doubles, but the Demon Deacons claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
In singles play, Guthrie earned the Yellow Jackets’ lone point, defeating Haus, 7-6 (2), 3-6, 7-6 (2) at No. 3. The Yellow Jackets fell to 6-6 overall and 0-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
