ATLANTA (AP) – Tyaunna Marshall filled up the stat sheet with 23 points, seven assists and three steals, but Georgia Tech fell to #23/24 North Carolina State 80-73 on Sunday afternoon.
Marshall is now just 74 points shy of becoming the Yellow Jackets all-time career scoring leader. Nariah Taylor added 12 points.
Marshall scored to give Georgia Tech (13-7, 3-4) a 51-50 lead with 14:39 remaining, but Myisha Goodwin-Coleman answered with a jumper and the Wolf Pack led the rest of the way. Krystal Barrett’s 3-pointer stretched NC State’s lead to 72-62 with 4:29 left.
Len’Nique Brown had 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists for NC State.
Goodwin-Coleman and Kody Burke each scored 16 points for NC State (18-3, 5-2 ACC). Markeisha Gatling scored 14 points and Barrett added 11 points and six assists for the Wolfpack.
