Georgia Tech football standouts Chris Reis, Gavin Tarquinio, Eric Henderson and Damarius Bilbo will be joining National Football League teams as free agents, along with the three Yellow Jackets who were drafted over the weekend.
Reis, the all-ACC safety from Roswell, Ga., and Tarquinio, a long-snapper from Marietta, Ga., have signed with the hometown Atlanta Falcons.
A wide receiver from Moss Point, Miss., Bilbo signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Henderson, a three-time all-ACC defensive end from New Orleans, La., signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Over the weekend, all-ACC linebacker Gerris Wilkinson was drafted in the third round by the New York Giants, while a pair of all-ACC honorees were selected by the Baltimore Ravens as running back P.J. Daniels was taken in the fourth round and safety Dawan Landry went in the fifth round.
Those seven players bring to 32 the number of Tech players who have either been drafted or signed NFL free agent contracts the last four years under head coach Chan Gailey. A total of eighteen former Yellow Jackets were on NFL regular-season rosters last fall.
