Five members of the Georgia Tech men’s tennis team were named to the Dean’s List following the 2006 spring semester.
Graduating senior Marko Rajevac, who earned a degree in Management earlier this year, along with junior Zachary Rath and sophomores Scott Blackmon, Jordan Delass and David North each earned the distinction of Dean’s List honors.
As a whole, the team earned a 3.22 grade point average for the spring semester, which was the second highest of any team at Georgia Tech. For the entire year, the team’s average was a 3.03, which was tied for third amongst Georgia Tech men’s and women’s sports.
“I was very proud of what our guys accomplished academically this past semester,” said head coach Kenny Thorne. “To have 5 of 6 guys make the dean’s list at any school is impressive, but to have it happen at Georgia Tech is incredible. They all worked very hard on and off the court and their results in both proved it. These are the accomplishments that set Georgia Tech student-athletes apart from most other schools. I hope everyone realizes how much dedication it takes to excel simultaneously in both academics and athletics.”
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must make over a 3.0 for the given academic semester.
