THE FLATS – Saturday will be the first meeting between Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern. Entering the season, the Yellow Jackets had never played three fellow Division I schools from Georgia – Georgia Southern (FBS Sun Belt), Georgia State (FBS Sun Belt) and Savannah State (FCS MEAC). Saturday’s game will kick at 12:03 p.m. ET from Bobby Dodd Stadium.

TOUCHDOWN NEALY
Senior LB Quayshawn Nealy has three career defensive touchdowns: (1) 74-yard INT vs. Utah, 2011 Sun Bowl; (2) 18-yard fumble return vs. Syracuse, 2013; and (3) 10-yard INT return at Tulane, 2014.

HALFTIME REPORT
Including its second-half shutout at Tulane, Tech is outscoring the opposition 42-10 after halftime.  The Jackets blanked three opponents in the second half last season. By comparison, Georgia Tech is outscoring the opposition by a four-point margin in the first half.

SO MANY OPTIONS
Georgia Tech’s rushing foursome of Zach Laskey, Justin Thomas, Tony Zenon and Charles Perkins have accounted for 75 percent (425 yards) of the Yellow Jackets’ 570 rushing yards through two games.

SCORING STREAK
Georgia Tech has played 213 consecutive games without being shut out – the eighth-longest active streak in the nation. The last time the Yellow Jackets were blanked came Oct. 18, 1997 – a 38-0 loss at No. 3 Florida State.

Georgia Tech hasn’t been shut out at home since Nov. 30, 1957 – a streak of 353 consecutive home games at Boddy Dodd Stadium.

THE NET
Through two games, Georgia Tech has gained 597 yards rushing, while recording just 27 yards lost (net gain of 570 yards). Zach Laskey has 0 yards lost on 27 rushes.

CARRYING THE LOAD
Six Georgia Tech players are averaging more than 5.7 yards per carry through two games – Tony Zenon (8.4), Charles Perkins (7.4), Brandon Snoddy (7.3), Deon Hill (7.2), Justin Thomas (6.1) and Zach Laskey (5.8).

The first 25 Georgia Tech students to show their BuzzCard at each of the Paul Johnson Radio Shows will receive either a free dessert or free wings. Additionally, there will also be a GT burger special for $5.95 and free valet parking.
