THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football held its annual Pro Day on Friday afternoon at Bobby Dodd Stadium and the John and Mary Brock Football Practice Facility. Eight former Yellow Jackets – TE Luke Benson, WR Dominick Blaylock, TE Dylan Leonard, LB Braelen Oliver, OL Connor Scaglione, DB Myles Sims and RB Dontae Smith – performed for 32 player personnel staffers from 26 National Football League teams, as well as two Canadian Football League organizations.
Highlights included:
- Bench press – Benson (20 reps of 225 pounds), King (20), Leonard (20), Oliver (21) and Scaglione (25)
- Vertical jump – King (37.48 inches), Oliver (37.48) and Benson (35)
- Long Jump – Smith (10 feet, 11 inches) and King (10-9)
- 40-yard dash – Benson (4.43 seconds), Sims (4.45) and Smith (4.48)
- 20-yard shuttle – Sims (4.25 seconds)

The 2024 NFL Draft is set for April 25-27 in Detroit. At least one Yellow Jacket has been selected in each of the last four NFL Drafts, including defensive lineman Keion White, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 Draft by the New England Patriots.

The Jackets open the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 24 against defending ACC champion Florida State at the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland. Official Georgia Tech travel packages are available at gt2ireland.com.
Georgia Tech finished 7-6 overall and 5-3 in ACC play in 2023 (good for a tie for fourth place in the 14-team ACC) and won the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl championship with a 30-17 victory over UCF. The Yellow Jackets return 17 starters, including all-ACC honorees DL Zeek Biggers, OL Joe Fusile, RB Jamal Haynes, QB Haynes King, WR Eric Singleton, Jr. and OL Jordan Williams.
