Falconi Competing at Atlanta USTA Pro Circuit Event

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech rising sophomore Irina Falconi, who reached the semifinals of last week’s Grapevine Women’s 50K Tennis Classic, will open play Wednesday in the main draw of the Norman Wilkerson Tennis Experience at the Sugarcreek Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Falconi has drawn fellow American Gail Brodsky, the tournament’s No. 5 seed, in the first round. In the second round, Falconi could meet either Kaitlyn Christian or Lindsay Burdette Thursday.

Former Yellow Jacket Christy Striplin and rising sophomore Viet Ha Ngo competed in the qualifying draw of the tournament but failed to make it through to the main draw.
