Tulsa, Okla. – Georgia Tech’s Christopher Eubanks was eliminated from the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-American Championships in a three-set match to California’s Florian Lakat Friday at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The 6-foot-7 sophomore from Atlanta, a top-16 seed in this event and ranked 24th in the country, fell to 5-2 for the fall with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 loss to Lakat, a junior for the Bears ranked 36th in the nation.
“Chris played some great tennis today and came up short,” said Tech assistant coach Derek Schwandt. “Overall, I;m really happy with how Chris is developing. He is one of our hardest workers. We are looking forward to another opportunity at regionals next weekend.”
