Dyke Named To Academic All-America Team

ATLANTA–Georgia Tech punter Dan Dyke has been named to the Verizon Academic All-America football team for the second straight year, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A sophomore from Winter Springs, Fla., Dyke maintains a 3.95 grade point average in Electrical Engineering.

Dyke has punted for a 41.8-yard average while helping the Yellow Jackets to a net punting average of 37.6, good for 17th in the country.

The 15th-ranked Yellow Jackets (9-2, 6-2 ACC) will face LSU in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 29 in Atlanta.
