BISHOP, Ga.– The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s cross country teams will kick off their season on Saturday morning at the UGA Invitational in Bishop, Ga. at the University of Georgia Equestrian Farm. The men’s 8k will begin at 8 a.m. followed by the women’s 5k at 8:45 a.m.

The men finished second to Georgia in the 2015-16 season opener with a total of 40 points and the overall winner of the 5k, Jeremy Greenwald. The women finished first with 15 points, claiming the top five spots of the race. Senior Melissa Fairey was the overall winner for the women’s 4k.
The Georgia Tech men’s team was ranked 11th in the ACC Preseason poll released on Thursday afternoon. The women are ranked 14th in the preseason poll.
