THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s cross-country program announced its 2023 schedule of competition on Friday. The five-meet regular season begins Sept. 1 as the Jackets compete in the Stan Sims Cross Country Opener, hosted by Kennesaw State, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in Acworth, Ga.
Following the season opener, the Jackets will head to the Mountain Dew Invitational, hosted by Florida, on Sept. 15 in Gainesville, Fla. The Jackets will next split their weekend on Sept. 30 between the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., and the Alexander Asics Invitational in Fairburn, Ga. The White and Gold will conclude the regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, on Oct. 13 in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
The ACC Championships for both men and women will be held on Oct. 27 in Tallahassee, Fla., hosted by Florida State. The NCAA South Regional is scheduled for Nov. 10 in Gainesville, Fla. The NCAA Championships are set for Nov. 18 in Charlottesville, Va.
Tech concluded its 2022 cross country season in the NCAA South Regional. Despite the departure of NCAA Championship competitor and NCAA All-South Region honoree Liz Galarza, Tech returns notable performers Mary Brady on the women’s side along with Zach Jaeger for the men’s squad, among others.
