Feb. 14, 2010
The Georgia Tech baseball team begins the 2010 season Friday, Feb. 19 when it opens a three-game series with Missouri State. With preseason practice underway, fans can check out RamblinWreck.com to find blogs, video interviews and Q&A’s by members of the 2010 squad about their lives as college students, what’s going on in practice, and their excitement about the upcoming season in the countdown to first pitch series.
Today’s blog is with junior pitcher Zach Brewster.
Hey everyone. In honor of Valentine’s Day I decided to write a poem for my blog–
“Bulldogs are red, Panthers are blue,
Despite the snow, we’ve practiced the last two.
Thanks to the wonderful tarp,
Pitchers’ shoveled snow and did their part.
The sound of the ping,
Marks the unofficial start of spring.
The team is highly excited,
And to the first series you’re all invited.
It begins with Missouri State,
On our quest to be in the final eight.
With many guys coming back,
Great leadership will keep our team on track.
We’ve got Omaha in our sights,
And can’t wait to play under Friday night lights.
So if you’re ever in The A,
Stop by the Rusty C and watch the Jackets play.”
