June 20, 2013

Catching Dreams — the annual event hosted by the Calvin Johnson, Jr. Foundation — is Saturday night at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center.

Tickets are available and can be purchased here.

Catching Dreams is, according to the foundation’s website, is a “Athlete Scholarship Extravaganza.”

The mission of the Calvin Johnson, Jr. Foundation is summarized here:

“To change the mindset of youth from struggle to survival, from poor self-esteem to excitment of life, from dependent thinking to goal-setting self-sufficiency, and from hopelessness to empowerment.”

So, what can you expect if you attend this wing-ding Saturday night? A VIP meet and greet; memorabilia; silent auction; live raffle, entertainment and more.

One of the highlights of the night is sure to be a special recognition of Megatron breaking the NFL’s single-season receiving record in 2012.
