Brendon Mahoney Earns Freshman of the Year Honors for Men's Indoor Track

ATLANTA (Feb. 24) — At the 2000 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field competition last weekend, Georgia Tech’s Brendon Mahoney was named Freshman of the Year honors as voted on by the nine ACC coaches.

Mahoney earned this award after his victory in the mile run at the ACC Championships with a time of 4:09.25. The Cumming, Ga. native also finished fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.21.
