THE FLATS — Georgia Tech track and field senior Samantha Becker is set to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Thursday, June 11.
The Atlanta, Ga., native was the 12th qualifier for the pole vault in the 2015 NCAA East Preliminaries, hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. She qualified with a height of 4.18m (13-8.50) to punch her ticket for her first ever trip to the national meet.
Competition begins Thursday, June 11 at 4:45 p.m. PST with Becker set to pole vault 10th out of 24 athletes from 20 different schools. The starting heights for the competition are 4.05m, 4.20m, 4.30m, and 4.35m.
Live results will be available throughout the event on the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship website. ESPN3 and WatchESPN coverage for field events will be available starting at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday.
