>> Georgia Tech, which has appeared in all 35 ACC Baseball Championships, continues play in Greensboro, N.C. on Wednesday as the ninth-seeded Yellow Jackets battle top-seeded Miami at 3 p.m. in Pool A.
>> The Jackets knocked off Wake Forest, 5-3, Tuesday in a single-elimination opening round game at NewBridge Bank Park — Tech’s fifth straight postseason win in Greensboro after capturing the 2012 title there.
>> Four Jackets earned All-ACC honors, including second-team selections Thomas Smith (1B), Daniel Spingola (OF) and Matt Gonzalez (OF). Mott Hyde (2B) was named third-team. The ACC honors are the first in the careers of all four.
>> Behind one of the ACC’s best middle infield duos of 2B Mott Hyde and SS Connor Justus, Tech now leads the NCAA with 66 double plays, including two in Tuesday’s win.
>> Hyde, who leads all active NCAA players in career games (245) and career starts (245), brings a 35-game reached-base streak into Wednesday’s game, which is the longest currently in the ACC.
>> With 76 hits and eight triples, junior Daniel Spingola leads the ACC in both categories. He was 3-for-4 in Tuesday’s win with a double, triple, two RBI and a run.
