THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track and field sophomore Avery Bartlett heads to College Station, Texas to represent the Yellow Jackets at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships March 10-11.
Bartlett, a Tallahassee native, will compete in the 800m run. At the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships, Bartlett broke the Georgia Tech school record in the 800m run, set by David Krummenacker in 1998. Bartlett’s time of 1:47.32 earned him a fourth-place finish and All-ACC honors. The sophomore ranks 11th in the nation in the 800m with that time.
The prelims for the 800m are scheduled for Friday, March 10 at 7:20 p.m. The finals are on Saturday, March 11 at 5:30 p.m. Bartlett will compete in the first heat of the prelims.
The meet will be live streamed on ESPN3 on March 10 starting at 6:25 p.m. ET and March 11 starting at 4:55 p.m. ET. A re-air of the championship will take place on Sunday, March 12 starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
