Avery Bartlett Takes 15th at NCAA Indoor Championships

March 10, 2017

COLLEGE STATION, Texas– Georgia Tech track and field’s sophomore Avery Bartlett finished 15th in the men’s 800m prelims on Friday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Bartlett finished in a time of 1:49.58 ahead of Virginia Tech competitor Patrick Joseph. The sophomore from Tallahassee holds the Georgia Tech record in the 800m, which he set at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier this month.

Bartlett’s exclusion from the finals marks the end of the indoor season for the Yellow Jackets. Tech starts the outdoor track and field season on Friday, March 17 when it hosts the Yellow Jacket Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track.
