Armsby Leads Jackets at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomores Ann Armsby and Cristan Duvall tallied top-five finishes to lead Georgia Tech at the Florida Track & Field Relays on Thursday night. The outdoor meet will continue on Friday and run through Saturday.

Armsby ran a personal-record time of 11:21.98 in the women’s 3,000-Steeplechase to register a fifth-place finish for the Yellow Jackets. Duvall clocked a time of 9:26.20 in the men’s steeplechase to post a fourth-place finish for Tech.

Leading the Jackets in the 1500 meters were seniors Jennifer Lentz and Neil McDonagh. Lentz tallied a ninth-place finish with a season-best time of 4:31.25 to lead the women, while McDonagh logged a 13th-place finish with a mark of 3:56.21 to lead the men.

In the 5000 meters, sophomores Chris Clark and Blake Fertitta led the men and senior Neta Ezer led the women. Clark finished 12th with a time of 15:47.40, while Fertitta ran a time of 16:23.26 to finish in 23rd place. Ezer posted a time of 18:58.87 to register a 28th-place finish.
