Amanda McDowell Tabbed to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-District At-Large Second Team

Atlanta – Georgia Tech junior Amanda McDowell has been named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District III second team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday afternoon.

McDowell, who maintains a 3.59 cumulative GPA as an International Affairs major, earned Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career. The Atlanta, Ga., native is a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree, a 2008 All-American and the reigning NCAA singles champion.

Over her three seasons on the Flats, McDowell has registered 109 singles wins, which is good for third all-time in the Yellow Jacket record books.

McDowell is currently competing in the NCAA Individual Championships field in singles and doubles. Live results are available on the official NCAA Championships website and can be accessed by clicking here.
