NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The final day of the Commodore Invitational ended with Georgia Tech singles players going 3-3 and doubles pairings went 1-2.
The No. 8 doubles pairing in the nation Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel won their doubles match against Cernoch/Kiger of Memphis. Ángel Guerrero Melgar took his singles match against Peter Murphy of UNC, 7-5, 7-5, Pablo Schelcher cruised to a 6-2, 6-1, victory over Chris Li of UNC and Keshav Chopra won his match Anuj Watane of UNC, 6-2, 6-4.
Next up for the Jackets is the ITA Southeast Regionals starting on Thursday, Oct. 21. After that, the final weekend of the fall season starts on Friday, Nov. 5 when Tech players will compete at the GT Invite at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex and ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, Calif.
