ACC Softball Tournament In Rain Delay

May 9, 2008

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Due to heavy rain this morning in the area, the 2008 ACC Softball Tournament has been delayed. Fourth-seeded Georgia Tech and eighth-seeded Virginia will now meet in an elimination game at 7:30 p.m.

ACC officials have also changed the format of the semifinals to single-elimination. The winner of the Tech/UVA game will play the loser of the winner’s bracket game between No. 2 Virginia Tech and No. Florida State.

Any additional updates will be posted here as soon as they are available, but the rain is expected to move out of the area shortly. All of today’s games will be available on ACC Select.
