THE FLATS – Director of athletics Todd Stansbury laid out his top priorities for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association during his first State of Athletics speech, last Wednesday at the Callaway Club inside McCamish Pavilion.
Speaking to key athletics donors, Stansbury outlined the following as his top priorities after five months on the job:
- Defining the GT athletics brand
- Establishing the internal culture
- Aligning the internal structure
- Generating new revenue
Immediate priorities for new revenue include:
- scholarships
- brand development and execution
- recruiting
- facilities (academic, nutrition center and football locker room)
Stansbury, a Georgia Tech alumnus (IM 1984) and former GT football student-athlete, officially returned to The Flats as his alma mater’s director of athletics on Nov. 28, 2016.
