ATLANTA – The NCAA and the Atlanta Local Organizing Committee held a press conference Tuesday to unveil the logo for the 2013 Men’s Final Four. This will be the 75th anniversary of the first Final Four, and will mark the fourth time that the event will be held in Atlanta.
Georgia Tech will serve as the host institution and the Georgia Dome will be the venue for the Final Four, which will feature two national semifinal games on April 6, 2013 and the national championship game on April 8. Atlanta previously hosted the Final Four in 1977, when Marquette won the national championship inside The Omni, and at the Georgia Dome in 2002 and 2007, when Maryland and Florida won national titles.
Fans hoping for a chance to receive tickets to the 2013 Final Four can apply for the NCAA’s random selection process, which takes place between March 12 and May 31, 2012. Visit www.NCAA.com for more details.
The Georgia Dome is also the site for the 2012 South Regional, which takes place March 23 and 25 and marks the 20th time that Atlanta has hosted the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. Tickets to the South Regional are available by visiting www.NCAA.com/mbbtickets. Ticket prices range from $160-$175.
