THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball began the 2025-2025 school year collecting its final honors of the 2025 season as 10 Yellow Jackets received Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
Receiving the national academic recognition for the White and Gold were pitchers Makayla Coffield, Kinsey Norton, Sophia Voyles, and Jaidyn Studebaker, infielders Addison Leschber, Gracyn Tucker, Grace Connelly, and Emma Simon, outfielder Eliana Gottlieb, and catcher Reese Hunter.
To receive the honor, each of the aforementioned Jackets maintained a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA for the fall and spring semesters.
The scholar athlete honors are not the first NFCA honors for Tech softball this season after Alyssa Willer, Addison Leschber, and Sophia Voyles were all named Third Team All-Region following the regular season. The 10 scholar athletes bring Tech to 73 total Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes in program history.
The Jackets are set to kick off the fall season with their lone game on the road Sept. 27 at Troy. Tech softball fan can then expect to see the Jackets in action at Mewborn Field against Georgia Highlands (Oct. 12), Northeast Alabama Community College (Oct. 17), Tennessee (Oct. 18), and Auburn (Oct. 24).
Tech softball is set to return a core group for the ’26 season including infielders Gracyn Tucker and Addison Leschber along with outfielders Alyssa Willer and Paige Vukadinovich. In the circle, Tech fans can anticipate seeing the return of Makayla Coffield and Sydnie Watts as well as Reese Hunter behind the plate. The Jackets return to play following the 2025 season where Tech had three top-25 wins, including its first top-15 win since 2012, and punched its ticket to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2022.
