Yellow Jackets In The NFL Update

Eleven former Yellow Jacket standouts will be participating in the NFL playoffs, including five this weekend in the wild-card round.

PhilipWheeler and the Indianapolis Colts host the New York Jets.Dawan Landry and the Baltimore Ravens travel to Kansas City toface Michael Cox and the Chiefs. Morgan Burnett (injured) won’t be playing, but his Packerstravel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles. Anthony Hargrove andChris Reis (injured) of the New Orleans Saints play on the roadagainst the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks. Jonathan Dwyer, who saw his first NFL action last week, andKeyaron Fox of the Pittsburgh Steelers, have a first-round bye.Gary Guyton and Darryl Richard (injured reserve) of the New England Patriotsare the top seed in the AFC. Vance Walker and the Atlanta Falcons are the top seed in theNFC.

In other NFL news, Georgia Tech will have one former player in the Pro Bowl: wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
