Pacific Palisades, Calif. – Kristi Miller recorded a 6-3, 7-5 consolation singles victory over No. 57 Elizabeth Exon of Michigan as Georgia Tech concluded its run at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Wednesday evening.
The Yellow Jackets were unable to advance in doubles play, as Miller and partner Alison Silverio dropped an 8-6 match to 17th-ranked Daniela Bercek and Riza Zalameda of UCLA and Kelly Anderson and Lyndsay Shosho lost to the top doubles seed, Stanford’s 13th-ranked Alice Barnes and Erin Burdette, 8-2.
Anderson also fell in her consolation singles match earlier in the day to No. 68 Jennifer Zika of Duke by a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 score.
Georgia Tech will return to Atlanta to prepare for the ITA Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Ala., from Oct. 22-25.
