Yellow Jackets Announce Season-Long Greek Cup Challenge

Jan. 23, 2007

Atlanta – The Men’s Tennis team will hold their first Greek Cup Challenge throughout the upcoming spring season giving members of Georgia Tech’s Greek organizations an opportunity to compete on the courts of the Bill Moore Tennis Center during Yellow Jacket home matches.

Teams, made up of at least one fraternity member and one sorority member, will compete during the 10 minute break between doubles and singles matches at Georgia Tech home matches.

The competition format will be a round robin tournament where all participants will face one another.

At the end of the season, the team with the best record will earn a $400 cash prize for their respective fraternity and sorority while the second-place team will win $200 for their Greek organization.

There will be a mandatory meeting on Feb. 2 at 5:30 at the Bill Moore Tennis Center for all tournament participants.

For additional tournament information, contact the volunteer assistant tennis coach, Andrew Grolismond at 404-457-2385 or via email at gtmenstennis@hotmail.com.
