THE FLATS – The sixth-seeded Georgia Tech women’s tennis team opens the 2022 ACC Tennis Championship on Thursday, April 21 at 6 p.m. facing either No. 11-seed Boston College or No. 14-seed Louisville. The tournament, which runs April 20-24, will be played at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Ga.

THE SCENE: Georgia Tech seeks its fifth ACC Championship this week in Rome, owning four tournament titles in program history. The Jackets bring a 13-9 overall record into the tournament and closed out regular season play with an 8-5 ledger.
Tech defeated both Boston College and Louisville during regular season action. The Eagles and Cardinals square off at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday with the winner advancing to second-round play on Thursday.
Last season, the Jackets also earned the No. 6-seed and advanced to the title match with wins over Virginia Tech, NC State and Miami. Overall, Georgia Tech is 31-28 when competing in the ACC Championship dating back to 1986.
