GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech swimming and diving senior Colt Williamson (Johns Creek, Ga./Johns Creek) capped an impressive final season by being named to the 2019 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Wednesday.
The Yellow Jackets’ senior business administration major earned a 3.8 grade-point average in his final semester while also helping the Tech 800 free relay team earn honorable mention all-American honors by finishing in the top 16 at the NCAA Championships.
Williamson also moved into the top 10 of the Georgia Tech annals in the 100 back, swimming a 47.19. He also swam the team’s fastest 500 free time this season (4:17.82), as well as the Jackets’ second-best times in the 100 back and 200 back (1:42.31). The Johns Creek, Ga. native also swam the third-fastest 1:46.35 200 fly on the year.
