Wednesday's Baseball Game at Mercer Postponed

March 10, 2010

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s baseball game at Mercer, scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, has been postponed due to rain. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 23 in Macon, Ga.

The Macon area has been hit with heavy rain all morning, and it isn’t expected to let up this afternoon. It is the second game this season that has been postponed due to weather conditions.

Last Tuesday, Georgia Tech’s game against Western Carolina was postponed due to a rain/snow mix in Atlanta. A makeup date for the March 2 game has not been set at this point.

The fourth-ranked Jackets open Atlantic Coast Conference play this weekend, hosting Wake Forest for a three-game series at Russ Chandler Stadium. Game times are 4 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
