Storylines
- Tech enters the home ACC series with a 20-20 overall record, 5-10 ACC record, after a dominant five-inning 15-2 win over Mercer on Wednesday.
- Tech’s offense was highlighted by Gracyn Tucker who went 3-3 with two home runs, four runs, and six RBI.
- After recording her 100th career hit on Sunday against Louisville with a double to right center, Tucker surpassed the 25-career home run mark as her pair of home runs on Wednesday put her at 26 career home runs.
- With her two midweek home runs, Tucker has now recorded 12 home runs in back-to-back seasons.
- Addison Leschber also saw her swing force one over the fence as she recorded her 10th home run of the season, giving her the second most home runs this season behind Tucker.
- As a team, Tech saw its second most runs (15), second best batting average (.577), and third most hits (15) this season. The pitching staff saw their third game of the season not surrendering a single walk.
- Tucker and Alyssa Willer received another monthly recognition as they were ranked in the April edition of Softball America’s Position Rankings, as was announced by the association at the beginning of the month. Willer was ranked 12th among all outfielders while first baseman Tucker was ranked 13th.
- Madalyn Johnson has been Tech’s go to pitcher in the circle with 21 game starts and 26 appearance this season. Johnson leads the pitching staff in wins (10), innings pitched (110.0), and 91 strikeouts. The sophomore is just nine strikeouts shy of reaching the 100-strikeout mark for this season.
Series Notes
- Tech leads the overall series against Boston College, 37-17, including a 16-8 home record.
- In their most recent meeting with the Eagles, the Yellow Jackets emerged victorious with a 10-2 finish in six innings back in 2023.
- The two ACC teams have faced off nine times in the last six years, with Tech holding the 6-3 winning record in recent meetings. Of those six wins, two were in run rule fashion and one was produced in 11 innings.

Full Steam Ahead
