Georgia Tech secured their fourth straight win with a 21-17 victory over the Clemson Tigers on Saturday in Death Valley. Sophomore wide receiver Demaryius Thomas caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Josh Nesbitt with 5:22 remaining in the game, lifting the Yellow Jackets past the Clemson Tigers and earning them a Pontiac Game Changing Performance nomination.
Now it is up to Georgia Tech fans to determine if the Yellow Jackets will earn a Pontiac Game Changing Performance for week eight of the 2008 NCAA® Football Season. Tech fans can click here to view video clips of the four finalists and vote for the Yellow Jackets!
Voting begins on Sunday morning and ends at midnight on Wednesday. ESPN will announce this week’s Pontiac Game Changing Performance winner on Thursday night, during the Pontiac Performance Halftime Report.
The winning university earns a $5,000 contribution from Pontiac to their general scholarship fund. Additionally, the winning play will be nominated for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year award and the chance to win a $100,000 general scholarship contribution from Pontiac.
In addition, each week one lucky individual who visits pontiac.com/ncaa, will also win a $5,000 scholarship for them self or someone in their family.
