Georgia Tech evened the match 1-1 with a 25-21 second-set win. The Jackets took a 15-14 lead and made it 20-14 advantage. Coastal Carolina fought back within two, 21-19, but the Jackets held on for the win.The momentum pendulum swung back in the favor of the Chanticleers in set three who won 25-18.

“This win means a lot to our group,” head coach Michelle Collier said. “We knew it was going to be another fight, on their home court, and we stay composed and together. Teegan led the way offensively, but I think the more important things we did don’t show up on stats. We played together as team; we didn’t give up on any points and earned this win.
“Our pre-season schedule was very tough and we superseded the expectations. Now we shift our focus to ACC play and our goal is to continue to get better.”
