Senior Maja Pachale registered a team-high 17 kills and notched 8 digs to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 3-1 victory over Wake Forest Sunday night, 30-23, 30-16, 28-30, 30-26. The victory improves Tech to 6-3, 2-1 ACC while Wake Forest falls to 6-3, 1-1 ACC.
Kyleen Bell notched a double-double as she tallied 15 kills and 12 digs. Freshman Lynnette Moster notched a 11 digs and four service aces, both careerr-highs, while Alexandra Preiss had a career-high 14 kills and also added two block assists. Kele Eveland recorded 48 assists, two block solos and three block assists on the evening.
Trina Maso de Moya and Margaret Davidson each had 13 kills to lead the Demon Deacons offensively. Maso de Moya also tallied a match-high 18 digs.
The Yellow Jackets hit .235 in the match, while holding Wake Forest to just a .119 hitting percentage. The Jackets also played solid defense, as they outdug the Demon Deacons 65 to 45.
