Volleyball Standout Eveland Earns Academic All-Distrcit Honors

Georgia Tech volleyball standout Kele Eveland has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District III volleyball second team, announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

To be eligible for the Verizon Academic All-District and All-America teams, a player must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better and be a starter or important reserve.

Eveland, a junior from Grand Rapids, Mich.., is a first-time honoree who maintains a 3.73 GPA in Management. She is the starting setter for the No. 23 volleyball team which currently has a 26-5 record. Eveland is second on Tech’s career assist list with 4,230 and is currently ranked No. 13 in the nation in assists per game (13.13).
