Volleyball Opens ACC Play at Clemson, hosts BC

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech volleyball team (9-3) opens ACC play on the road for the ninth time in program history Friday at 7 p.m. when it takes on Clemson (5-7) at Jervey Gym. The Yellow Jackets return home to host Boston College (8-4) on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Pack The Gym night, and all tickets are $1. Both matches will be aired on ESPN3.com.

Parking: Fans are encouraged to park in the McCamish and O’Keefe Lots. Fans should be aware that the Fifth Street Bridge will be closed due to Taste of Atlanta and we’re hosting a men’s tennis tournament as well. 

• Georgia Tech has opened ACC play against Clemson more times – eight – than against any other ACC opponent.
• The Yellow Jackets have won the last 15 straight matches against Boston College.
• London Ackermann is 29 digs away from 1,000 career digs.
• The Yellow Jackets won 8-straight matches for the first time since 2006 before falling to No. 5 Nebraska.
• Tech ranks 3rd in the ACC in assists/set (13.19), digs/set (15.37) and kills/set (13.93).
• Teegan Van Gunst (167 kills), Annika Van Gunst (109) and Sydney Wilson (109) are producing 64.3% of Tech’s offense.
• The Yellow Jackets have 23 solo stuffs compared to the competition’s nine solo blocks.
