TO: Fans, Friends, and Supporters of Georgia Tech Athletics
FROM: Dan Radakovich, Georgia Tech Director of Athletics
I want to take just a moment to wish all of you great Georgia Tech fans the happiest of Holidays, a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. I can’t thank you enough for the support you have shown to my family and I as well as all of our Athletics family down here on The Flats. This has truly been a year to remember!
We have just wrapped up our pre-Christmas competition this afternoon as our men’s and women’s basketball teams enjoyed victories over Kennesaw State and Georgia State respectively. I wish all of our student-athletes safe travels as they head out for some all-important time with family over the next few days. Our football team had its final practice yesterday before the holiday break. The football Jackets will return for practice in Atlanta on the 28th, 29th and the morning of the 30th before we depart for Ft. Lauderdale at midday.
We very much look forward to seeing all of you down at the Orange Bowl. To those of you who have purchased tickets and planned your travel, we thank you. Either way, we know Yellow Jackets everywhere will be with us the night of January 5th when we take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. For those of you who will be in South Florida, I hope you will take advantage of all of the events, especially the Georgia Tech Alumni Association’s Orange Bowl bash at Land Shark Stadium from 5 to 7 p.m. on game day. Online registration ends on Friday, January 1. Go to Ramblinwreck.com and visit our Orange Bowl Central section for all of your bowl information.
Again, thank you for your interest, investment and dedication to Georgia Tech Athletics. We’ll see you in 2010. Go Jackets!
