Tech's Pachale Named to all-Region Team

For the second time in her career, Georgia Tech senior Maja Pachale (Schwerin, Germany) earned American Volleyball Coaches Association all-Region team honors, announced Wednesday by the AVCA. Pachale, who led the Jackets in kills and helped the Yellow Jackets to the first round of the NCAA Tournament, was one of 10 players from the Atlantic Coast Conference to be named to the East Region squad.

Pachale, the 2001 ACC Player of the Year, ranked first in the league with 4.48 kills per game while placing 10th in the conference with a .291 hitting percentage. The outside hitter finished her stellar career as Tech’s all-time leader in kills with 1,836 and ranked seventh on the career dig list with 1,148.
