Tech's Nott and Schnugg Fall in First Round of ITA All-American Qualifier

Oct. 8, 2002

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Georgia Tech’s doubles team of West Nott and Scott Schnugg was unable to advance past the first round of the Icy Hott/ITA All-American qualifying tournament, after reaching the tournament from the pre-qualifying round in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Nott and Schnugg faced Florida’s fifth-seeded team of Oliver Levant and Eleazar Magallan in the first round of the qualifying draw. Levant and Magallan proved to be too much for the Yellow Jackets, as Nott and Schnugg dropped an 8-3 decision and were eliminated from the tournament.

The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team will now return to action on October 11-13, when it hosts the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational at the Bill Moore Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga.
