Tech's Morgan and Stowers Complete Day One of NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

ATLANTA – Senior Sam Morgan and sophomore Evan Stowers led the Georgia Tech men’s swimming and diving team at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

Stowers, a native of Independence, Ky., finished 25th on the men’s one-meter springboard with a prelims score of 272.80.

Morgan, a native of Gainesville, Ga., clocked a time of 4:26.81 to finish 31st in the prelims of the 500-yard freestyle.

Both Stowers and Morgan will be in action again tomorrow at the GTAC. Prelims begin at Noon with finals starting at 7 p.m.
