THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming competed in it’s final regular season meet of the season at the Yellow Jacket Invite on Friday and Saturday. This is the final meet before the championship season starts and helps solidify the final ACC roster.

“I am very pleased with how the team performed this weekend. We had multiple personal best times and some great efforts,” Toni M. and Richard L. Bergmark Swimming and Diving Head Coach Courtney Hart said. “This is a great start to championship season. We are looking forward to showcasing our team and facility during ACCs and NCAAs.”

The sprint freestyle events were the most hotly contested. In the 100 free, Brooke Switzer won the women’s event (49.95) and Tyler Branscombe won the men’s event (44.52). In the 200 free, Lily Burke won the women’s event (1:49.44) and Daniel Kertesz won the men’s event (1:35.97).

The White and Gold are back in on Tuesday as the 2022 ACC Championships begin with women’s 1M diving, men’s 3M diving and 800 freestyle relay.

The Yellow Jackets look to improve on a 2021 ACC Championship performance that saw nine podium finishes including two first place finishes from Caio Pumputis (200 IM) and Batur Ünlü (200 free).
