Tech Women's Tennis Falls to Top-Seeded Duke at ACC Championships

NORCROSS, Ga. — (April 23) Duke’s Vanessa Webb topped Georgia Tech’s Sabrina Pardo at No. 1 singles to clinch the top-seeded Blue Devils’ 5-0 victory against the Yellow Jackets Friday in the quarterfinals of the 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championships at the Racquet Club of the South.

Duke ( 21-3) advances to meet the winner of Friday’s quarterfinal match between North Carolina and Maryland. The loss eliminated the Yellow Jackets (12-10) from the tournament.

In addition to Webb’s win at No. 1, Duke received singles wins at positions three through six.
