Tech Volleyball Drops Heartbreaker To Duke

ATLANTA – – Despite a career-high 22 kills and 17 digs from Amanda Hess, the Georgia Tech volleyball team dropped its conference opener to Duke in five games, 30-27, 19-30, 30-27, 24-30, 14-16, on Monday night. The Blue Devils improve to 9-0, 1-0 ACC while the Jackets fall to 4-3, 0-1 ACC.

Defensively Kele Eveland notched 21 digs for the Jackets, while Alexandra Preiss notched a career-high nine block assists.

Dorrette Burwell led the Blue Devils with 25 kills, followed by Ashley Harris who added 17. Tech will return to action when it faces Florida State in O’Keefe Gym Saturday night at 7 p.m.
